About Driver Detective

If you install the wrong driver for your hardware device, you’re buggered.

That’s not an option when you use Driver Detective.

Why?

Because it uses something called Match Intelligence to ensure you get the right drivers.

Here’s how it works…

The first time you launch Driver Detective you’re given two choices.

You choose OEM Match Intelligence if you have a brand name computer (e.g., Toshiba, Dell, HP), then select your model from the list. Driver Detective will now recommend drivers for your specific computer.

Or, you choose Universal Match Intelligence if your computer is custom built (or if you don’t know the make or model).

Voila. No more wrong drivers.

Huge driver database … HUGE!

Several driver updaters claim to have the largest driver database in the industry.

Nonsense.

With 20 million drivers (and counting), Driver Detective is without doubt top dog.

20 million drivers!

It puts other driver updaters to shame.

If you’re struggling to find specific drivers, Driver Detective may be just what you’re looking for.

Two ways to backup your drivers

Driver Detective includes a tool to backup your drivers.

That means you can put all your shiny new drivers on a disk or USB drive for safe keeping.

And if you ever re-install Windows — forget hunting for dozens of hardware installation disks because…

…you’ve now got all your drivers in one place. Ready to install.

Oh, and here’s something I’ve not seen mentioned anywhere else…

When you register your copy of Driver Detective, you’ll get an email that includes some login details.

Head on over to the Driver Detective site, login, and click on the History menu button. On that page you’ll find your driver scan history and a list of the drivers you’ve downloaded.

Need to download any of your drivers again? Easy … just click the floppy disk icons.

As long as you’ve got Internet access, you don’t even need to use the backup tool.

The Easy Migrator tool

Thinking of upgrading your computer to the Windows® 7 operating system?

Well then… you’re gonna love Driver Detective’s Easy Migrator.

Here’s how it works…

When you run the Easy Migrator, you can choose an operating system you want to upgrade to.

Driver Detective then scans your computer and lists all the drivers you’ll need.

It’ll then download them so you can copy them to a CD or USB drive.

They’re now ready for when you install your new operating system.

Think about it: It’s gonna save you a boatload of time.

And that’s not all…

You can also use the Easy Migrator to downgrade or re-install your operating system.

Operating systems

Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2003 Server and 2000 (32-bit & 64-bit).
