How to back up your drivers with Driver Checker
Driver Checker enables you to restore any of your drivers.
But before you can restore any drivers, you have to back them up.
Here’s how you do it…
Step 1 — Choose drivers to back up
Start Driver Checker and click Back Up on the main menu.
Now choose which drivers you want to back up.
At the top right of the screen there’s a drop down menu where you can select “Currently Used Devices” or “Windows Original Devices”.
They’re all selected, by default, so unless there are drivers you don’t want to back up, just leave it as is.
Step 2 — Choose your backup folder
The default backup folder is C:\Program Files\Driver Checker\ (replace C:\ with your hard drive’s letter).
If you want to save them to different folder or drive, click Browse.
Step 3 — Back up your drivers
Click Next to start the backup process.
The next screen will show you the progress and what drivers are being backed up.
This shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete.
When it’s complete you’ll get a “Backup is completed!” confirmation message.
Click OK.
Step 4 — Check your backup
Open My Computer and find your way to C:\Program Files\Driver Checker\Drivers\ (or your backup folder).
You should see a list of folders containing all your drivers.
You can also open the folders to check they contain your driver files.
And that’s it. Done.
