<p>No problem. Driver Checker makes it a breeze.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how you do it&#8230;</p>
<h2><span>Step 1</span> &mdash; Choose a driver to uninstall</h2>
<p>Start Driver Checker and click <strong>Uninstall</strong> on the main menu.</p>
<p>No drivers are selected by default, so check the one you want to uninstall.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m going to uninstall my modem driver.</p>
<p>Click <strong>Uninstall</strong> at the bottom right of the screen.</p>
<h2><span>Step 2</span> &mdash; Begin the uninstall process</h2>
<p>You&#8217;ll now get a pop-up message asking if you&#8217;re sure you want to delete the driver (or words to that effect).</p>

<p>Click <strong>Yes</strong>.</p>
<h2><span>Step 3</span> &mdash; Finish the uninstall process</h2>
<p>Click <strong>OK</strong> when you get the &#8220;Uninstall is completed!&#8221; pop-up message.</p>

<p>Good news. Driver Checker makes restoring your old driver is quick and easy.</p>
<p>Note: You have to have <a href="/how-to-back-up-your-drivers-with-driver-checker/">backed up your drivers</a> before you can restore them.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how you do it&#8230;</p>
<h2><span>Step 1</span> &mdash; Choose a driver to restore</h2>
<p>Start Driver Checker and click <strong>Restore</strong> on the main menu.</p>
<p>The drivers are not selected by default, so check the one you want to restore.</p>
<p>If the driver isn&#8217;t listed, make sure the right backup folder is listed at the bottom of the screen.</p>

<p>If it isn&#8217;t, click <strong>Browse</strong> and select your backup folder.</p>
<p>Click <strong>Next</strong>.</p>
<h2><span>Step 2</span> &mdash; Finish driver restoration</h2>
<p>Click <strong>OK</strong> when you get the &#8220;Restoration is completed!&#8221; pop-up message.</p>

<h2><span>Step 3</span> &mdash; Restart your computer</h2>
<p>You may need to restart your computer for the driver to work.</p>

<p>And it&#8217;s a dead easy to do.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how you do it&#8230;</p>
<h2><span>Step 1</span> &mdash; Scan your PC for updates</h2>
<p>Start Driver Checker and click <strong>Start Scan</strong>.</p>
<p>The scan shouldn&#8217;t take more than a minute or so.</p>
<h2><span>Step 2</span> &mdash; Choose the software to update</h2>
<p>Outdated software is listed at the bottom of the results, so scroll to the bottom.</p>
<p>If you have a long list of items, you can use the drop down menu to list just the outdated ones.</p>

<p>Now choose the software you want to update.</p>
<p>All items are checked by default, so you&#8217;ll have to uncheck all the ones you don&#8217;t want to update.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m going to update my Adobe Shockwave Player.</p>
<h2><span>Step 3</span> &mdash; Download the updated software</h2>
<p>Click <strong>Next</strong> and Driver Checker will start downloading the updated software.</p>

<p>This may take a minute or two depending on the size of the file and the speed of your Internet connection.</p>
<h2><span>Step 4</span> &mdash; Install your updated software</h2>
<p>Driver Checker will automatically launch the software&#8217;s installer as soon as it&#8217;s finished downloading.</p>
<p>Now follow the installer&#8217;s instructions to install it.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s how you do it&#8230;</p>
<h2><span>Step 1</span> &mdash; Scan your computer for outdated drivers</h2>
<p>Start Driver Checker and click on <strong>Start Scan</strong>.</p>
<p>Driver Checker will now check your computer for out-of-date drivers.</p>
<p>It shouldn’t take more than a minute of so.</p>
<h2><span>Step 2</span> &mdash; Choose a driver to update</h2>
<p>All outdated drives and software are selected by default, so uncheck all the ones you don’t want to update. (You can change this by going to Options.)</p>

<p>You can update all your drivers and software if you like, but I’m going to update my modem driver.</p>
<p>Click <strong>Next</strong>.</p>
<h2><span>Step 3</span> &mdash; Download and install your new driver</h2>
<p>Driver Checker will now download your new driver.</p>

<p>Once it’s finished downloading, it will automatically install your driver.</p>

<h2><span>Step 4</span> &mdash; Restart your computer</h2>
<p>Restart Windows if prompted, or you can update more drivers. It&#8217;s up to you.</p>

<p>But before you can restore any drivers, you have to back them up.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how you do it&#8230;</p>
<h2><span>Step 1</span> &mdash; Choose drivers to back up</h2>
<p>Start Driver Checker and click <strong>Back Up</strong> on the main menu.</p>
<p>Now choose which drivers you want to back up.</p>
<p>At the top right of the screen there&#8217;s a drop down menu where you can select &#8220;Currently Used Devices&#8221; or &#8220;Windows Original Devices&#8221;.</p>
<p>They&#8217;re all selected, by default, so unless there are drivers you don&#8217;t want to back up, just leave it as is.</p>
<h2><span>Step 2</span> &mdash; Choose your backup folder</h2>
<p>The default backup folder is <span class="wintext">C:\Program Files\Driver Checker\</span> (replace <span class="wintext">C:\</span> with your hard drive&#8217;s letter).</p>

<p>If you want to save them to different folder or drive, click <strong>Browse</strong>.</p>
<h2><span>Step 3</span> &mdash; Back up your drivers </h2>
<p>Click <strong>Next</strong> to start the backup process.</p>
<p>The next screen will show you the progress and what drivers are being backed up.</p>
<p>This shouldn&#8217;t take more than a few minutes to complete.</p>

<p>When it&#8217;s complete you&#8217;ll get a &#8220;Backup is completed!&#8221; confirmation message.</p>
<p>Click <strong>OK</strong>.</p>
<h2><span>Step 4</span> &mdash; Check your backup</h2>
<p>Open My Computer and find your way to <span class="wintext">C:\Program Files\Driver Checker\Drivers\</span> (or your backup folder).</p>
<p>You should see a list of folders containing all your drivers.</p>

<p>You can also open the folders to check they contain your driver files.</p>
